Dubbed the Swatch Bellamy, it will launch in China first at Bocom and Swatch outlets for 580 yuan .
Its not clear what kind of capabilities the Swatch Bellamy will have since it cant connect to the Internet, but we do know that it be able to make mobile payments through a near field communications chip.
Swatch was able to cut a deal with Bank of Communications Co., which means that customers will be able to make payments in stores that have China Union Pay Cos point-of-sale machines.
However, the Swatch Bellamy wont have nearly the same capabilities since its not a connected device.
Swatch feels that by not connecting the Bellamy to the Internet, consumer data will be protected.
