1. This warhead fits the kind of missile that is installed in the BUK surface-to-air missile system.
Tuesdays findings were swiftly dismissed by the missile maker Almaz-Antey, after a test which disputes the version of the Dutch, adding the damage to the MH17 pointed to the use of an older type of missile.


2. As expected the Dutch Safety Board has definitively concluded that a 9N314M warhead from the Buk surface to air missile system was responsible for killing the 298 people on board Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17.




3. In March this year, analysis by IHS Janes of objects found at the MH17 crash site by Dutch news channel RTL-4 clearly identified one of these hourglass shaped warhead fragments.
The report released today by Russian missile maker Almaz-Antey should be discounted as disinformation and propaganda aimed at drawing attention away from the Dutch report.


4. Earlier today, Almaz Antey, the Russian company that produces Buk anti-aircraft missiles, denounced the official Dutch investigation for misidentifying the missile use and the direction it was launched from.

5. Mr Joustra said a Buk missile was fired: Flight MH17 crashed as a result of the detonation of a warhead outside the airplane against the left-hand side of the cockpit.

7. Arseny Yatseniuk said before the launch of the report that there is no doubt that drunken separatists are not able to operate BUK systems and this means these systems were operated solely by professional Russian soldiers .


8. MH17 was destroyed by a 9N314M war head carried by a Buk missile, which detonated outside the airplane above the left hand side of the cockpit.

9. The explosion occurred less than one metre from the aircraft, and instantly killed the three crew members in the cockpit at the time.

10. Hundreds of them hit the aircraft and several were recovered from the bodies of the three crew members in the cockpit.
